Oregon

As we drove through Minnesota, The Black Hills, Yellowstone, Montana, all the way up to Vancouver and into Washington...it was as if the maps were coming to life. All the little blue lines I had followed with my finger stretched before us as roads, all the familiar town names became three dimensional places and the tour book descriptions morphed into our own experiences. It was kind of magical.

As we forge ahead, my slate is blank. I have not become acquainted with our path or what might be on it. But the total unknown newness has a magic of it own.

In the form of OMG...it's Portland!

And (insert breath intake) the Pacific Ocean!

Bunk Sandwiches...a delicious dive. The Guy Fieri app is going to come in handy ;)

Oregon wine on the Oregon coast (which is nothing short of spectacular.)

And a BIG night in baseball...

for Rays fans, anyway.

Stumbled upon Devil's Churn.

The sound of the waves as they crash into the cliffs feels like it comes from within.

So glad we came this way.
