The Badlands

First order of business for the day: find a gas cap! Andy left the original at a gas station a couple hundred miles ago, and it's been keeping him totally preoccupied with thoughts of leakage and explosion. Third stop is a charm, and this little auto shop in Belvidere hooked us up.




Looking out the window, it is more and more apparent that we are very far from our point of origin. Exciting!




I would say that other sights make that apparent as well, but it would be quite possible to see this in Vermont...




We spotted our first Wall Drug sign a while ago, and they just keep coming.




Prairie dogs are everywhere.











This shot, just past the entrance to The Badlands, may appear again in December on a holiday card.

The resident buffalo herd was last spotted off of back roads that are not motorhome friendly. We left, quietly humbled by the this place, and a tiny bit disappointed that no bison would be seen today.
