Bozeman

Our campground in Livingston had an arched entry. I LOVE these! Some of them are simple, like this, and some are quite elaborate. We whiz by the ranches too quickly to catch a photo. I wonder if JEHA would allow me to erect one over our driveway?

The guys were really missing the use of the good camera, so it worked out well that Bozeman was now on our way. We pulled into town off of 90, and Andy and I simultaneously perked up. Picture a dog lounging in the yard, not sleeping, just softly focusing on his surroundings. He sees a squirrel, is immediately in an undistractable state of full attention, and takes off after it. We were the dog and this town was the squirrel. The kids stayed in the RV, as the two of us jumped out and (I think we ran) found our way to the main drag. Our eyes darted around, soaking it all in, and we talked over each other with our "Look at this!" and "Look at that!" exclamations.

The pictures don't do it justice. It was simply perfect.

We found the photo store, and purchased the battery charger from a guy who used to live in VT.

And refused to leave Bozeman without sampling one of its coffee shops.

As we sipped our espresso drinks, we took a little of our precious time to drive around all the side streets and check out Montana State University.

Sam's first mocha...decaf.

I am enamoured with this place, and decidedly very grateful that the camera charger went missing.
