My mom and dad have friends who are building a house in Fairplay. Their current home is in Florida. They travel to and fro in a giant motorhome with their four show poodles.
Aspens grow in clonal colonies. The individual trees live for 40-150 years, but the colony can live for thousands. The root system can even survive a fire and continue to sprout new shoots. Because of their longevity and resilience, they often signify ancient woodlands. A colony of Aspens is said to ward off evil spirits. So this property is not only a recipient of their beauty, it also should be well protected for many years to come.
