Half Moon Bay

We are planning to camp tonight in Half Moon Bay...currently sitting in a bit of traffic.

This RV Park would probably be more aptly named an RV Parking Lot.

No complaints though, as it is directly on Half Moon Bay. A bike path adjacent to the lot took us right up to the harbor where my dad scored some fish right off the boat.

Our plan was to cook up some fish tacos and dine outside in the salt water air with ocean view. I thought some clam chowder would make a nice appetizer, so I stopped into Sam's Chowder House and ordered four bowls to go. Turns out what they call a bowl is more of a family-sized quart and a half, complete with bread loaf. We froze the fish and noshed on the best chowder I've ever had. There's still plenty left for lunch tomorrow!

Chapin had a nice run on the beach at dawn before we unplugged and pulled out. Boy can this group move when there's no place on site to do number two.
