Death Valley

I was slightly disappointed that as we approached Death Valley, we didn't encounter signs that read, "Last chance for gas!" or "Don't enter Death Valley without water!" Nothing. Just driving down the road, and there it was.

I'm wondering, if I get a little out of breath at 10,000 feet...would I be able to run a marathon at sea level?

Probably not in this heat.

This is the real reason to get gas prior to entry.

This park, because of the heat, only operates ranger programs in the winter. Campgrounds are closed in the summer.

Dust often reduces visibility.

It must be quite a sight on a clear night.
