For some reason, I did not realize that Buffalo was so close to Niagra Falls. When I saw that we'd be driving within 20 miles of the falls, I decided to detour. It was getting dark, and we were doubly excited to see them at night.
It was one of Sam and Chloe's favorite sights of the trip.

I had to have a picture of this. I went out of our way, got turned around on the wrong road, and risked getting hit to snap it. It appears I'll have to lighten it up a bit...but I love it!
Driving through the Adirondacks was the most beautiful stretch of road since California.
It was starting to feel familiar, like home.
